For may, the “glory” years of 77 WABC New York, were from 1966 to 1972. In the ratings, the station was untouchable. The station was so popular that many stations around the country molded themselves after WABC. Dan Ingram was in the drivers seat, getting New Yorkers home from work every day. (Sorry about the quality of some of the audio. It was recorded in South Jersey, about 120 miles from New York)
