Before Ron Lundy became a radio superstar at 77 WABC & 101 WCBS-FM in New York, he was a popular afternoon drive host in St Louis at 1430 WIL St Louis, from 1960 to 1965. Lundy was brought to WIL in 1960 by Dan Ingram, who was the station’s program director. When he first arrived at WIL from Baton Rogue, he was known at the “Wil’ Child.” In this aircheck, you can hear his warm, fun loving style, that got him into the St. Louis Radio Hall of Fame, & kept Ron on New York City radio, for 32 years.
