Sergio Dean was one of those unsung heroes of NY radio. He came to New York after programming ZBF in Bermuda. He spent almost 30 years on air in New York, with much of that time in morning or afternoon drive. He started at WWRL in the 1970s as Program Director & AM drive. He them moved on to Musicradio 77 WABC in the late 70s & early 80s, where he used his real name, Sturgis Griffin. He also worked on air at WVNJ, CD101.9 WQCD, and the station where he spent the lion’s share of his time, 107.5 WBLS. This aircheck feartues Sergio in his early days at WBLS, about a year or two after leaving WABC. -Ellis
