“It’s COOLD outside, so layer up… or layer down!”

Best known for his irreverent one-liners, Dan Ingram was one of the most popular and best loved DJ’s in New York history! Here’s Big Dan on his Saturday show on CBS-FM, from one very cold March afternoon in 1996 – still on top of his game!

This aircheck was posted on the one year anniversary of CBS-FM flipping to that ill-fated “Jack-FM” format. While CBS-FM is back (and I’d say better than ever, but who am I?), unfortunately, Dan Ingram isn’t part of it. We hope he is enjoying his retirement!

  1. Great Stuff from “The Master” (or as the late Chuck Leonard would say): “The Best that ever did it–and got away WITH it”! But how about Dan’s most RECENT show –his “RETURN” to CBS-FM on Sunday 9/17/07? any audio available fromt hatshow as well?

  2. As big a fan as I am of Big Dan, this CBS-FM show is not what Dan was, but what he is. It’s sad to say that the high energy level isn’t there, though the wit and sly humor is. IMHO, Dan Ingram is the BEST Top 40 DJ of all time!
