New York City Radio Dial Scan | March 1984

It’s March 1984. You’re in New York, as you tune around the radio dial. This recording is an example of what you would have head. I was driving around New York, and just tuning up & down the dial, and recording what I head. You’ll hear many of the big players, like 101.1 WCBS-FM, Z100 WHTZ, 102 WPIX-FM, 95.5 WPLJ,  102.7 WNEW-FM, 1130 WNEW, 103.5 WAPP, 92 WKTU, 97 WYNY, 1190 WLIB, 1600 WWRL, 1430 WNJR, 98.7 Kiss WRKS, 105 WRFM, 106.7 WLTW. You’ll also hear a few New Jersey stations like 94.3 WJLK-FM & FM 100 WJRZ.

So close your eyes, turn up the volume, and for 17 minutes, go back to 1984 with this New York City radio dial scan. -Ellis
