With enough hyperlinks built in to research nearly everything associated with Nashville’s “Y107”, here’s a jock we never previously featured. Downtown Billy Brown wasn’t part of the original WYHY lineup but he sure sounds good here, presumably doing the afternoon drive just before Memorial Day in 1994.
By this time, “Y107″‘s days were numbered as young people’s listening tastes changed to the harder edged Alternative Rock which came into its own around this time. Listen to the format, however. This really is straight ahead Top 40, with dance music, monster pop ballads and hard rock all represented in this hour of Billy Brown’s show.
