Tina Geldado is Alive, ALIVE!
Curator’s Notes:
The “Boss” era is definitely alive in this sunny California Aircheck presentation of a Fractious Friday on K-Earth 101! The Real Don Steele is captured, doing what he does best, and that’s entertaining Southern California the same way he did on KHJ, only on both sides of your ears in glorious stereo!
I remember finding this the other day and wondering how it escaped posting a few years ago when the contributor sent it in. My find is your ear candy!
Talk about a guy having a good time on the air-Such energy ! Great to hear him again…
Without a doubt…one of the best examples of the “Boss Radio” sound. He and his pal, Robert W. Morgan are definitely out in Morgan’s bass boat somewhere in radio heaven having a “Good Morgan”.
unfortunately don steele and robert w were killed by cancer from smoking way too much r i p
When this aircheck was taped, I must have been three or four years-old. I was born in ’89, but thanks to my parents and other relatives, I was exposed to the Real Don Steel and Robert W. Morgan too. I have several recordings of K-Earth, from 2000-2007, when I was 11 years-old right on through my teen years. I’m trying to see if I can contribute or upload them to this site. Any help would be kindly appreciated.
Send an email to steve@airchexxlive.com. You may upload a file or two, but I do prefer actual analog tape if you have it. Email me for details. Steve
