That was an incredible interview with the impressive Doc Thayer and all of his former names. He has been around for a very long time, and I really love his commercial-free oldies format on WZPH 96.7 FM in Zephyrhills,FL. I listen to it on the WEB at WZPHFM.com. Everyone should listen to his interview and to his radio station!
I, too, was very excited to hear the interview. “Chucker” was an important part of my life during a troubled time. I was glad to find out more about him. Uh oh. Now that hated middle name I got rid of legally is known. I just read Cheryl’s post. She found my first 45 rpm I did at age 18. What an experience…driving along and my record comes on the radio. I wanted to roll down the window and holler: “HEY! THEY’RE PLAYING MY RECORD ON THE RADIO.” Two cows and a hog would have heard me.
No “dead air” here! Fascinating. I wish my ears could listen faster!
